Welcome to Alpacas of Wales

Established in 2003, we started our Alpaca Adventure in the lush green landscape of the Teifi Valley in West Wales. In December 2009 we moved lock stock & barrel to our new holding in the neighbouring Clettwr Valley,an equally stunning setting for our alpacas who are now the talk of the town!

Our aim is to breed high quality alpacas which will make a significant contribution to the National herd whilst at the same time providing access to these wonderful animals for potential owners. We breed for healthy, well grown, strong boned animals with good conformation and a dense, crimpy & fine fleece which will provide commercially valuable fibre; we carefully select our Stud males each year, always looking for an improvement in the next generation and we are very proud of what we have achieved so far.

We started as a 'small breeder', and know how exciting it is to choose your first animals and how important it feels to ‘get it right’; how exciting it is to watch your first cria on the ground and before long, to start choosing the right Stud Male for your young girls.  It is still exciting for us over 90 cria later!
